Format for submission of Abstracts
- One copy of an abstract is required for each paper. Please submit by email to
noise.conference@gov.ab.ca to be received no later than January 31, 2007. Electronic
submissions should be in Microsoft Word or Acrobat PDF format. If abstracts cannot be
submitted electronically, please contact Anita Lewis at (403) 297-3793.
- The abstract should not exceed 250 words (11 point Times New Roman font) and include:
- Paper title in bold uppercase letters (20 words maximum and 13 pt font).
- Primary author’s name, affiliation and address.
- Additional author’s names, affiliation and addresses, if applicable.
- At the bottom of an abstract give the following information:
- Name the area of acoustics most appropriate to the subject matter:
Low Frequency Noise
Health Effects of Noise of the Workplace
Wildlife and Noise Impacts
Instrumentation and Measurement Methodology
New Technology in Noise Control
Social Engineering with Sound
Other (related to environmental, occupation or industrial noise)
- Email address and telephone number (including area code) of the author to be contacted for information
- List any other papers being presented by the author(s).
- Be sure that the return address of the author to receive the acceptance notice is on
the abstract to insure timely deliveries. The address should preferably be an email address.
