The conference is centered on plenary and technical sessions and will consider papers and presentations on all topics in the following areas of interest:

- Vibration, Industrial Noise, Transportation Noise & Occupational Noise Control
- Architecture, Community Planning, Public Health: Effects of Noise and Noise Control

- Noise Awareness & Education: Public, Occupational and Industrial
Registration and technical workshops will be offered on Tuesday, May 19, 2009. The technical program will run from Wednesday morning May 20 through Friday May 22 at noon. There will be a reception on Wednesday evening to provide networking opportunities for the delegates.

The main focus of the presentation will be about NCIA working with the EUB/ERCB to develop practical regional solutions to managing industrial noise in Alberta's Industrial Heartland. We will provide some details on what the current plan is and how a regional noise model is evolving.
