The theme for the 6th Spring Noise Conference in Banff is Noise Awareness - Supporting Sound Partnerships. The conference will provide a forum for industry, government, public, academics and acoustical professionals to share experiences and innovations in environmental and occupational noise identification, measurement, regulation and control.
Conference Objectives:
- to highlight environmental and occupational noise control innovations
- to promote responsible industrial development
- to identify and promote strategies for reducing workplace noise exposure
- to promote responsible management of human noise exposure
- to provide a forum for open discussion and networking
- to raise awareness about expanding noise issues
Past Spring Noise Conferences have provided the most current and practical information on environmental and occupational noise control. The 6th conference seeks to attract participants involved in new research, technical developments, and case studies that showcase:
- examples where the public and industry have established successful “sound” partnerships
- advancements in noise control technology, equipment & software
