"We provide workshops that allow every delegate, from facility representatives to practiced acoustical engineers, to engage in the discussion on noise control and regulation."

workshops
These half day courses provide an opportunity for learning and discussion for delegates from all backgrounds and levels of expertise. Amongst our most popular workshops are the "Practical Understanding & Application of Noise Regulations" courses where regulators present material and application case studies on their noise regulations in a question friendly environment.![]() |
Practical Understanding & Application of Alberta's Environmental Noise Regulations This full day workshop will provide an overview to Industry, Public and Consulting firm personnel wanting a better understanding of the Energy Resources Conservation Board Directive 38 and Alberta Utilities Commission Rule 12 noise regulations and their application. INCE Exams & Prep
New to this year's conference the Institute of Noise Control Engineering (INCE) has allowed us to host membership exams during the Spring Noise Conference. INCE is an international non-profit professional organization whose primary purpose is to promote engineering solutions to environmental, product, machinery, industrial and other noise problems. INCE Members are professionals in the field of noise control engineering, and many offer consulting services in noise control. For more information on INCE Click Here.INCE Fundamentals Exam Preparation and Exam
If you are considering taking the INCE fundamentals exam as one way to become a full member of INCE, this course is aimed at helping you understand and prepare for the exam.
The exam is a two hour, closed-book, multiple-choice examination with 75 questions drawn from the fundamentals of acoustics and noise control engineering. Qualitative questions with descriptive responses and quantitative questions requiring only simple calculations are included in the examination. The purpose of the examination is to evaluate an individual's background in the field of noise control engineering.
In this preparation course you will learn about the nature of the exam questions and responses and the wide range of concepts and topics covered. A minimum of mathematics will be included.
If you feel comfortable with the material presented in the course, you may stay and take the actual fundamentals exam from 1:00 to 3:00 pm

INCE USA Board Certification Exam
Applications to take the Board Certification exam need to be reviewed by INCE prior to registering for the exam. To apply please send your application and references to INCE eight weeks before the exam for processing. PLEASE NOTE - You must be an INCE member for at least one-year prior to the exam.
