Basic Acoustics I
Instructor: TBD

The objectives of this ½ day course are to provide basic principles of acoustics including sound pressure levels (decibels), sound power, frequency content, noise sources, sound propagation, measurements, and noise control. This course will develop and enhance the participants knowledge, concepts and principles in Acoustics, providing an opportunity to apply theory to practical situations about noise sources and their control. It introduces concepts and practical examples in measuring and controling noise.

Basic Acoustics II
Instructor: TBD

The objectives of this ½ day seminar are to develop and enhance the participant's knowledge, concepts and principles in acoustics learned. It will provide further information on environmental noise and architectural acoustics measurments and techniques, and give some practical
experience in measuring and controlling noise. This course provides a solid enhancement to the Basic Acoustics I course.

Hearing Conservation I - Introduction to Noise Hazards
Instructor: TBD

This two part program emphasizes theory in the Introduction to Noise Hazards (morning session) and practical classroom work in the Noise
Assessment and Control (afternoon session).

Objectives of this morning’s course are to provide an in-depth understanding of noise, noise-induced hearing loss, noise control programs and the need for a properly developed noise and hearing conservation program.

Certification Maintenance points will be awarded for attendance. Application has been made for certification maintenance points from the BCRSP, CRBOH and ABIH.
